Bathing a baby is obviously a worrying thing to do especially when you are a first time mum.
The first time we bathed Liberty she HATED it now she is such a water baby so I thought I would share with you what I found handy and what I didn’t think was so great.
For libertys first ever bath we used a baby bath and sponge, she grew out of the baby bath so quickly and you definitely need more than one pair of hands to do it. Also make sure you find a small-ish sponge, our first sponge we bought was a little too big and couldn’t quite get between all those fat creases (which I’m sure as you can all see she has plenty of).
After we realised the baby bath was hassle we decided to buy an Angelcare bath support, I honestly cannot recommend one of these enough, the minute we starting using this Liberty started LOVING her baths and at £19.99 you really can’t complain about the price.
For the first few baths I was so nervous about the temperature of the water worrying about it being too hot, so I would highly recommend the Munchkin HOT safety bath duck. This is a cute yellow rubber duck for your baby to bath with and also a temperature checker. If the bath is too hot the word HOT appears underneath the duck. This is also Liberty’s favourite bath toy, she loves to bite on the beak.
Liberty always wants to sit up wherever she is now so we decided to purchase a Safety 1st Swivel Bath Seat She absolutely loves being able to sit up in the bath, splash about and reach for her toys. There are suction pads underneath the seat to make it secure and the chair spins around so you can twist them to face a different direction without having to move the whole seat.
Finally, we cannot be without Johnson’s bedtime baby bath, wash and shampoo which contains natural calm aroma and smells AMAZING!
Liberty has a bath every evening as she absolutely loves it, a bath can really help with a baby’s bedtime routine.
